Dale E. Cunningham, 78, from Clymer and French Creek, New York, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2020 at Corry Manor.
He was born Aug. 1, 1941, in Rollersville, Ohio. He was the son of John and Bessie Cunningham. He graduated from Gibsonburg High School. Dale had a passion for the outdoors that was evident in everything he did. He was an Eagle Scout and a Boy Scout Leader, a licensed hunting guide, farmer and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also extremely passionate about his family.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Stewart), whom he married on June 30, 1961; and their three children, Shawn (Gerry) of Perry Ohio, Eric (Gretchen) of Edinboro, Pa., and Shana DeBoe (Joe) of Findley Lake, New York. Lastly, he leaves behind five grandchildren, Donovan, Melena, Ellen, Grant and Aiden. He is also survived by his nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Bill and John, and his niece Jennifer.
No calling hours will be observed and a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family expresses their extreme gratitude to the staff at Corry Manor for the care and compassion they provided.
Memorials can be made to Corry Manor or St. Matthias Catholic Church in French Creek, New York, in Dale’s honor.
