Martha J. Kalika, 92, of Buffalo Road, Corry, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at Corry Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Kalika was born July 27, 1917, in Harborcreek, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Chmielewski Mokwa.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Kalika, on Oct. 1, 1991. They were married Aug. 16, 1941, in Corry.
Mrs. Kalika was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Szymanski; and a brother, Joseph Mokwa.
She is survived by three sons, Thomas Kalika and his wife, Linda, William Kalika and his wife, Pamela, and Charles Kalika and his wife, Sandra, all of Corry; four sisters, Catherine Froman and her husband, Andrew, and Ann Chase, all of Corry, Teresa Simcheck and her husband, Robert, of Cambridge Springs, and Mary Pate and her husband, Frank, of Holiday, Fla.; a brother, Frank Mokwa and his wife, Eleanor, of Waterford; five grandchildren, Kimberly Turner, Chandra Johnson, and John, Joseph and Curtis Kalika; a great-granddaughter, Jaelyn Kalika; and several nieces and nephews.
