Perry M. Nichols, 76, of West Church Street, Corry, Pa., died on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020. at his residence.
He was born April 8, 1944, in Corry, Pa., a son of the late Robert and Nellie Hamilton Nichols.
Perry was raised and educated in Corry. Following high school, he worked several jobs in the Corry area until he began working at Corry Contract where he worked as an assembler until he became disabled.
In his free time Perry enjoyed being with his family and loved to sing and play his guitar with local bands. He also enjoyed fishing, tending to his plants, trees and flowers.
Perry was a past member of the Corry Central Labor Club.
In addition to his parents, Perry was preceded in death by four sisters, Velma Nichols in infancy, Eleanor Silvis, Anita Jackson and Loretta Jones; four brothers, Robert, Chuck, Donald and Merle Nichols; and a great-granddaughter, Lillian Nichols in infancy.
Perry is survived by his wife, Delores E. Sutton Nichols, whom he married Sept. 21, 1963, in Clymer, N.Y.; a daughter, Teresa Darling and her husband Todd of Columbus, Pa.; a son, Paul Nichols and his wife Tammy of Cambridge Springs, Pa.; and two sisters, Helen Rogers and Jackie Jones both of Corry, Pa.
Also surviving are six grandchildren, Adam and Matthew Nichols, Joshua, Taylor and Lexi Geer and Zachary Nichols; and six great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Kristopher, Arabella, Mason, Trent and Aiden and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Nichols Lodge in Mead Park, Corry, Pa.
