On Saturday, August 13, 2011, Richard Young, 82, of Tucson, Ariz., died peacefully with his family at his side.
He was born December 24, 1928, in Corry, Pa., the only son of Fred and Elda Young and baby brother to Marjorie Auer of Corry (deceased) and Muriel Kenney of Shelby, Ohio.
Dick was raised and educated in Corry. He was employed for 25 years at Corry Jamestown Mfg., first as a purchasing agent and then as a sales representative.
In 1978, he moved his family to Tucson, Ariz., to join his son in starting a new business venture — Perma Glaze Inc. Salesman, entrepreneur, outdoorsman, woodworker and cheerleader for his children are just a few of Dick’s occupations and interests over the years.
His love and compassion for animals is well known; his humor, laughter and smile will be missed, but wonderful memories will live on.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Dick is survived by his wife, Charlotte Marsh Young; his daughters, Diane Young, Cheryl Young and Phyllis Capp; his son, Dale Young; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
His resting place will be in Tucson, Ariz.
