Roger Lee Hasbrouck, 65, of Factory Road, Corry, Pa., passed away on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, in the presence of his loved ones.
Roger was born Oct. 8, 1953, son of the late Gene and Anna Bell (Lucas) Hasbrouck.
Born and raised in Corry, he attended Corry Area High School, graduating in 1972. Following high school, he began his 36-year career as a spring coiler at Associated Spring-Barnes Group, from which he retired in 2009.
As a lifetime member of the Columbus Volunteer Fire Department, Roger served as past chief and assistant chief, while aiding his community as an EMT and volunteer firefighter. While Roger highly enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and woodworking, his favorite pastime was educating and making memories with his grandchildren. He could always be found cheering them on at their events. Roger also attended Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Corry.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Hasbrouck.
Roger is survived by his wife, Karen Jean (Lewis) Hasbrouck, whom he married on Nov. 21, 1981, in Columbus, Pa.; two daughters, Tara Carson of Ohio, and Genie Vanderschaaff and her husband, Chad, of Corry, Pa.; two sons, Roger B. "Chip" Hasbrouck and his wife, Jennifer, and John Hasbrouck and his wife, Anita, all of Corry, Pa.; brother, Kem Hasbrouck and his wife, Cathy, of Corry, Pa.; 12 grandchildren, Briana, Hope, Michael, Tyler, Alexis, Kaylee, Ashley, Lindsey, Joshua, Landon, Morgan and Lucy; also several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to join for calling hours at Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 721 Hatch St., Corry, Pa., on Tuesday, Aug. 13 from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m., and attend the funeral service at said location on Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 11 a.m. The Rev. James Moffett will officiate.
