Russell L. Dingfelder, 86, formerly of Whitney Run Road, Corry, Pa., died Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, at Corry Manor.
He was born Dec. 7, 1933, in Corry, Pa., a son of the late Clarence and Nellie Fralick Dingfelder.
Russell was raised and educated in Corry and graduated from Sparta Merged School. Following high school, he did carpentry work for a few years and then worked at Corry Jamestown Corporation for 22 years. Russell then went to work at Corry Contract for 24 years until he retired. He was also the 4th-generation owner of Dingfelder's Cider Mill.
He was a member of the VFW, Moose, American Legion and the Elks Club, all in Corry. Russell enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle, snowmobiling, and working on cars.
In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Bidwell Dingfelder, whom he married Feb. 14, 1976, in Corry; a sister, Marilyn Dingfelder; and a grandson, Terry Rogers.
Russell is survived by his companion, Helen Rogers of Corry, Pa.; two daughters, Sue Rogers and her husband Dean of Cambridge Springs, Pa., and Nancy Anderson and her husband Jim of Corry, Pa.; a son, Scott Dingfelder of Spring Creek, Pa; and three stepdaughters, Ronna Troyer and her husband Dan of Columbus, Pa., Randi Young of Spartansburg, Pa., and Renee Harper and her husband Steve of Corry, Pa.
He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his dog, Kodi and cat, Molly.
Family and friends are invited to call at Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Due to CDC regulations, masks and social distancing will be required.
A graveside service at West Spring Creek Cemetery, Spring Creek, Pa., will be announced at a later date.
