The Saegertown Sportsmen handed the North East Sportsmen’s trap team their first loss of the young summer season. It was cold and windy day for shooting and a challenge for both teams. North East lost 236 to 227.

Top shooters for North East were Scott and Cliff Hammer with 46. Mark Holtshouse, Ken Hitz and Joe Rapela with a score of 45. Joe is a junior shooter.

The Edinboro team is 2-0; North East, Albion, Saegertown, Bay City, Gem City and the Erie Sportsmen are 1-1. Spartansburg is 0 -2, but the team won the preseason shoot.

It is not going to get easer for North East this week as they host Albion. Albion had one of the best scores in the league last week.

North East has opened trap shooting on Monday and Wednesday evenings. You don’t have to be a club member to shoot at this time.
