The Picker varsity baseball team kept its 12 game win streak going with 4 more wins last week. The boys first defeated Fairview 10-8. Cameron Collins picked up the win striking out 12.
Darryl Brink and Kyle Regan came in for relief help.
Ethan Sowers and Ryan Roggie had three hits. Regan, Pat Harris and Collins had two hits also. Regan, Sowers, Collins, and Pete Seymour each drove in two runs.
On Senior Night the boys defeated Seneca 5-2. Steven Ramsdell was outstanding on the mound pitching all seven inning striking out 10 and walking none. Brink, Harris, and Josh Kitchen all had doubles and Harris, Ramsdell and Kitchen had multiple-hit games. Roggie, Kitchen, Harris, and Collins all scored runs and the defense played a great game.
Next up was the long journey to Eisenhower where the Pickers played a doubleheader and took both games 14-4 and 9-6. Regan and Sowers each had two hits and drove in 3 and 4 runs, respectively. Max Knight, Collins, Josh Eby also had multiple hit games. Collins had two doubles and Roggie and Regan each had one two-bagger. Sowers had a bases loaded triple.
Ktichen and Harris each scored 3 runs and Ryan Hoelke had a hit and scored also. Regan picked up the win on the mound with help from Brink.
In the second game Eisenhower jumped to a 3-0 lead then North East sprang to action and scored 6 in the third to take control. Kitchen, Collins, Harris, Regan, Roggie, Eby, and Seymour all had hits, and RBI’s. Regan and Eby made outstanding defense plays to keep NE in the game. Sowers came in relief to pitch 6 solid innings to pick up the win.
Rich Turri, Tyler Koszewski, and Tyler Newara also helped this week to keep the streak alive.
