Aaron Meehl of North East completed his final season of men’s soccer at Penn State Behrend this past fall.

During his career the Lions went 60-21-8. Significant team accomplishments during that time included winning the ECAC South championship in 2009, winning the AMCC regular season championship in 2010 and culminated with winning the AMCC tournament championship and the invitation to the NCAA tournament in Meehl’s senior year. The team won the first round game against Hobart before losing to national semi-finalist Oneonta in the second round.

Significant individual accomplishments during his career included being named the first East Regional Scholar Athlete in the 19-year career of Coach Perritano at Behrend. During Meehl’s senior year he was also named MVP and a team captain. He was selected to the first team ECAC South region team, the third team Great Lakes Region All Star Team and first team All AMCC conference team. He was named to Great Lakes Region All-Star team and the AMCC All Star teams during his sophomore and junior years as well.

Meehl also participated in the TOP’s Soccer program that works with developmentally disabled children during his years at Behrend.
