Lund Martial Arts Academy will hold its 2019 Break-A-Thon on Saturday, March 30.
This season, Coach Brian Dewey entered his 17th year at the helm of the Mercyhurst North East Saints softball program. To supplement the hot start to the 2019 season, Dewey reached the 500-win mark on March 5 by defeating Delta College 10-4.
After finishing in sixth-place during the district swim meet, North East High School sophomore Jacob Baum will compete at the state meet in the 100-yard backstroke competition.

With his dad by his side, Mason Weinheimer, 7, got his first deer on the first day of archery season this year. Weinheimer shot, tracked, found the arrow and his deer all on his own. He is the son of Craig and Sarah Weinheimer.
