Luke Jeffrey Still, age 19, of North East, died on Sunday, Dec. 18, due to an automobile accident.
He was born on Oct. 16, 1997, in Erie, Pa.; the son of Jeffrey Robert and Teresa Ruth (Norcross) Still of North East.
He graduated North East High School in 2016 and was currently a freshman at Penn State Behrend, majoring in bio-medical engineering. Luke was currently employed at the Harbor House in Harborcreek.
Luke was a football enthusiast and formerly played football for North East High School, jersey no. 37. He also participated in the Save An Eye and North South football games and was a little league umpire and a Little Gridders Dallas Cowboys football coach. He enjoyed football, hunting, the outdoors, working on his grandparents’ farm and was an avid Penn State football fan.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lester Gibbs; and great-aunt, Katherine Kirin.
Luke is survived by his parents; siblings, Andrew Morales of Portland, Ore., Monica Morales of Pittsburgh, Pa., Annette Morales of Macungie, Pa., and Bethany Still of North East; paternal grandparents, Carl and Helen Still of Columbus, Pa.; maternal grandmother, Catherine Gibbs of York, Pa.; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services were held at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home and at the North East Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Luke Jeffrey Still Memorial Scholarship Fund, in care of the funeral home.
