Patricia ‘Patsy’ A. Jenks, 87

Patricia "Patsy" A. Jenks, age 87, of North East, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 24, surrounded by her family.

She now joins her late husband, Harry, her sailor man and love of her life, whom she married on Aug. 29, 1953.

Patsy was born on Aug. 31, 1930, in Chicago to the late Michael and Anne (Hennessey) Scheffler.

She was a loving wife and mother.

One of her favorite pasttimes was cross stitching, where she created many beautiful works of art that now hang in her children's homes. Patsy also enjoyed crossword puzzles, was an avid reader, even telling us stories about how she would read the dictionary, watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and her all-time favorite, Dr. Phil.

She was a fine lady and great friend, and those who met her were instantly drawn to her infectious smile.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Suzanne; brothers, Donald and Thomas Scheffler.

Patsy is survived by her six children, Richard Jenks (Caroline), Jeanne Mong (Bruce), Timothy Jenks (Treva), Judith Cagnoli (David), Deborah Miller (Joseph) and Christine Lattanzie (Thomas); grandchildren, Jeremy Mong, Amy Staaf, Andrea Miller, Lexi and Michael Jenks; great-grandchildren, Noah, Addison and Elijah Mong; sisters, Lucille Beaulieu, Barbara Cieslak; brothers, Michael, Brian and Steven Scheffler; and several nieces and nephews.

We raise our glasses to you for one last toast. Nostrovia! We love you mom.

Private funeral arrangements are under the care of William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 S. Lake St., North East.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North East Community Nursing Services of North East, 7 Park St., North East, PA 16428; or LECOM Senior Living Center, 5535 Peach St., Erie, PA 16509.
