On May 22, there will be a slide show, fundraiser and food drive at the Lake Shore Railway Museum, North East. The event will be held from 12 to 4 p.m.

The event is hosted by the Buffalo Area Railfans, Harborcreek High School NJHS and the Lake Shore Railway Historical Society. The museum grounds will remain open until 8 p.m. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase from museum gift shop.

The train ride and demonstration will begin at 4 p.m. Passengers will ride in a 1916 Pittsburg and Shawmut caboose. Train will be powered by a rare Plymouth JHG locomotive and rare 25-ton Witcomb locomotive.

A raffle will occur to determine the 25 people who will participate in the train ride/demo. Cost of the raffle is in addition to the event fee. Come catch a rare display of small railroad power. This is the first passenger run for both locomotives!

A $5 dollar donation and a bag of non-perishable food items is the cost to participate in the event. All food collected will be distributed to local food pantries. Cash donations can be accepted in lieu of food donations.

Event fees will help operational costs for the day as well as preservation projects for the railway groups. Please add this to your calendar and plan on attending!
