A two-vehicle crash occurred just before 3 p.m. Wednesday on Buffalo Rd. in front of Wal-mart. Witnesses at the scene told the News-Journal  the westbound vehicle crossed the center line and was hit head-on by an eastbound vehicle. Both vehicles sustained heavy front-end damage and one came to rest on the right-of-way of the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks.

Fairfield and Harborcreek Volunteer Fire Departments responded, assisted by Emergycare. Condition of the individuals involved was not available at the time of News-Journal web posting. State Police were on the scene and will investigate.
