Baker Creek Cleanup: 9 a.m., volunteers are invited to join in the cleanup efforts; meet in the municipal parking lot on Vine St. Dress for the weather and wear boots. Supplies and refreshments provided.

Wine & Cheese Weekend: $35 per person or $20 for designated drivers. Spend all weekend visiting the 21 participating wineries along the wine trail in Lake Erie Wine Country! Each winery will feature a special wine paired with delicious artisan cheeses or food samples created with exquisite Yancey’s Fancy cheeses. Ticket holders receive a wine glass, recipe booklet, $5 voucher for wine purchase and a gift. Tickets on sale online at www.lakeeriewinecountry.org.

Civil War talk: 7 p.m. at the North East Historical Society museum on Vine St. Eric Marshall will explain the recruitment process and what life was like at Camp Reed, where basic training was conducted for North East men who served in the Union Army during the Civil War, as well as how officers were selected.
