North East Arts Council announces the return of a class this fall, back by popular demand.

Artist Laura Mikula will teach the basics of graphite and colored pencil drawing in Animal Drawing I. Students age 13 years and older will learn proportion, texture and shading while drawing copyright-free illustrations.

The class runs Monday evenings 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. September 13 through October 18 and meets at the North East Arts Council studios upstairs in the Cultural Center at 25 Vine St.  Bring a sketchbook, art pencils (or #2 pencil) and a white rubber eraser.

Beginners are welcome and upon completion of Animal Drawing I; Animal Drawing II will be offered to improve students’ technique.

This class is brought to the community by the North East Arts Council and is $5.50 per class for members and $6.00 for non-members. Reserve your chance to learn to draw realistic-looking animals by calling Laura at 725-5713.
