Many local businesses and establishments have stepped forward to ensure that members of the community can donate to the Back to School/Personal Hygiene Drive for the needy students in our school district this year.

Stop by any of the following:  American Legion, Assembly of God Church, Bella Salon and Day Spa, C&C Printing & Signs, Community Nurses of North East, Curves of NE, Dog-Gone-Its, Erie General Electric FCU - TEMCO, Fairchild’s, The Flower Cart, Grapevine Laundry & Linens, Hair Doo’s, JC Hail & Nails, National Bank of NE, NE Chamber of Commerce, NE Chiropractic Center, NE Lanes,  NE News Journal, Orton’s Fruit Market, Pillowcasegram, Ray Wakley’s Car Care and RV Center, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Super Stitch, The Teacher’s Apple Basket and Three Sails Cafe.

State Farm - the Bob Martin Office is graciously supporting the cause, as is the Boston Bean Cafe, who will be collecting tips all week in their generous tips for the community campaign.  Lake Erie Priders are also joining in the collection efforts.

Monday, August 16 is the Collection Celebration at Heard Park, so mark your calendars to attend from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Entertainment and recognition will take center stage. All donations will be received and dedicated to the Children’s Fund that evening where you can bring the family and enjoy a BBQ provided by Three Sails Cafe, and children’s games and activities manned by the North East Cheerleaders. The BBQ Dinner will feature family friendly pricing - like a $5 Chicken Dinner, and the children’s games will offer fun for low cost tickets - 3 - $1.

Please call Rachel Ann Gollhardt at 725-8403 with questions of opportunities to host bags, there is still time. Remember, it takes a community.
