Western Pennsylvania Area Police is a non-profit volunteer organization that was established to provide security for community events sponsored by local non-profit organizations.

Former members of Company #3 and Company #38 of The State Police of Crawford and Erie County have formed the new organization to provide local non-profit groups reasonable and affordable security, which will allow the public to attend these functions in a safe environment.

The members of W.PA.A.P. volunteer their time and money to train in areas of police work, traffic control, emergency management and NIMS. These security officers do not get paid for any of their time but give freely of themselves to provide this service to their communities.

Like many volunteer groups, W.PA.A.P. is always looking for that person or persons who are interested in this type of work. Training in all aspects of their duties is provided by qualified instructors and new members will work with present members to complete that training. For more information please contact Ted Goss at 725-5042 or Joe Beaumont at 683-1025.
