Two informational meetings are planned for parents and youth interested in learning more about Lake Erie PRIDE.

Lake Erie PRIDE is a local team affiliated with PRIDE Youth Programs (PYP), the nation’s oldest and largest peer-to-peer organization devoted to drug abuse and violence prevention through education. The local team is comprised of over 50 high school students from several area high schools.

All members sign a contract committing to be drug and alcohol free during their high school years. They perform at local middle and high schools to teach the dangers of drugs and alcohol to their peers. They participate in community service and enjoy positive social activities.

They have the opportunity to travel to the International PRIDE World Drug-Prevention Conference and meet with thousands of youth from teams around the world.

An informational meeting for parents and interested youth will be held on Thursday, May 31  at 7p.m. at North East Middle School and Monday, June 3 at 6 p.m. at St. George School (multipurpose room). Please visit our website for more information www.lakeeriepride.com .
