Used Book & Puzzle Sale: at McCord Memorial Library, 32 W. Main St., 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. in the multi-purpose room in the lower level of the library. The sale includes a large variety of items ranging from boks and puzzles to movies and audios. Something for everyone! Sponsored by Friends of the Library, all proceeds benefit McCord Memorial Library.

Breakfast Buffet fundraiser: 8:30 - 11 a.m. at North East Moose Lodge. “Randy Buesink Memorial” hosted by NEHS baseball & softball teams. $7 at the door, proceeds benefit NEHS baseball & softball teams.

Easter Egg Hunt: 1 p.m. at North Harbor Baptist Church, 8800 Buffalo Rd., Harborcreek. Ages 2-12, a special gift will be given to each age group. Refreshments will follow the hunt.

Pancake breakfast: 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Burch Farms Country Market, 9210 Sidehill Rd. North East. All-you-can-eat pancakes, farm fresh maple syrup, sausage, applesauce, grape juice, apple cider and coffee. $6 at the door. Benefits the Harborcreek 14U Travel Baseball Team, which includes players from Iroquois, Harborcreek and North East.

Chicken & Biscuit Dinner: 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at Harborcreek Fire Department Social Hall, 7275 Buffalo Rd. $7 adults, $5 kids, free for kids under age 5. Proceeds benefit the Harborcreek Volunteer Fire Department. Sponsored by HCVFD Auxiliary.

Book talk & signing: 2 p.m. in the Admiral Room at the Blasco Memorial Library, 160 East Front St. in Erie. Rail transit author and transportation historian, Kenneth Springirth, will talk about his newest book, Arcade and Attica Railroad, published in 2009 by Arcadia Publishing.

Empty Bowls meal & auction: 4-6 p.m. in Egan Dining Hall, Mercyhurst (Erie) campus.  Guests receive a simple meal of soup and bread and take home a handcrafted bowl in remembrance of those whos bowls are too often empty, benefits Northwest PA Second Harvest Food Bank. $15 per person and includes a take-home bowl ($3 for children/without bowl).

Donate Blood: The Community Blood Bank’s Bloodmobile will be at Sander’s Markets in North East from 11-5, with a lunch break from 1-2 p.m. Our donors save lives! Please stop by! 

Bridge: Noon at North East Senior Center, 50 E. Main St.

“Clean Eating” Cooking Class: 6-7:30 p.m. at the Whole Foods Co-Op, 1341 W. 26th St. Linda Lewis, a North East resident, who has lost 100 pounds, will talk about her weight loss journey and how she has kept the weight off. Lewis will make two desserts and one entree that taste great and are easy to make. Free samples available, no cost for the class.

Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous Meeting: 6:30-8 p.m. at Park United Methodist Church, 30 N. Lake St. If you have trouble controlling the way you eat, are underweight or overweight, or are obsessed with weight or dieting, you are welcome to attend. No weigh-ins. Town Hall Meeting with State Rep. Curt Sonney: 7:30 p.m. at North East Township Building, 10300 W. Main Rd., North East. Interested residents are invited to attend to voice their opinions on the issues in these difficult financial times as well as any other state matters they wish to discuss.
