The North East Fire Department Auxiliary will sell hot dogs and homemade baked goods at Sander’s Market on Friday and Saturday, August 13 and 14. Stop in for lunch, satisfy your sweet tooth and support your local fire department.

North East Borough will flush hydrants Sunday, August 22 and Monday, August 23. North East Township will flush hydrants Sunday, Aug. 22-Tuesday, Aug. 24.

A rummage sale is set for September 11 and 12 at 6855 Buffalo Rd. to benefit Hunt of a Lifetime. The sale will run from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. each day. Sunday is bag day. A bake sale and Chinese auction will also be held. Call 899-1785 for more information.

South Ripley United Methodist Church on NE Sherman Road will hold a 125th anniversary celebration on August 15. The evening will begin with a program at 3 p.m., a free spaghetti dinner (donations appreciated) at 4 p.m. and Dan Schall in concert at 6 p.m.
