The North East office of Northwest Savings Bank will observe Community Banking Week April 4-8 with a full week of activities in its lobby.

“We observe Community Banking Week every year,” said Mary Ellen Wensel, Manager. “It gives us a chance to say thank you to our customers and our hometown communities. This year, the theme for the week is “Making a Difference on Main Street,” and we think that it’s a happy coincidence that the Pennsylvania Community Bankers, the industry group that sets our theme each year, chose a theme so close to our bank’s motto that Northwest is the bank where people make the difference.”

“We’ve always felt that the people who make the difference at our bank are our customers and our neighbors as well as our staff. We invite all our friends from the North East area and Ripley, NY area to visit us at 35 East Main St. in North East at our office during Community Banking Week,” said Wensel.

Throughout the week all visitors can enter a drawing for a special prize to be given away on Saturday. The drawing is open to the public and there is no obligation to enter.

The staff at the North East office noted there will be daily events at the bank each day as well. Join them for refreshments each day and see who is featured from the downtown area in the lobby each day.
