Families who need help to provide their children with Christmas gifts this year are invited to submit an application for assistance to Project Love.

Application forms are available at North East Elementary Center school offices and the North East Chamber of Commerce at 17 E. Main St. Applications may also be mailed to Project Love, PO Box 292, North East, PA 16428.

Project Love organizers encourage parents to return applications as soon as possible. A “Treasures for Children” wish tree will be placed inside Sander’s Market and will contain items as submitted on family wish lists. Organizers hope to have the tree available before Black Friday so those who want to shop for Project Love may take advantage of the holiday specials.

Thanks to a listing in last week’s News-Journal publicizing the need for space to allow Project Love volunteers to collect and organize gifts for this year’s season, Ray Wakley Car Care and RV Center owners Ray and Carol Wakley graciously stepped forward and donated space for Project Love.
