The results are in after Tuesday’s general election that featured several contested races for county executive and locally, for township supervisor and school director for North East School District.
As of Wednesday, Nov. 8, Kathy Dahlkemper (D) defeated Art Oligeri (R) with a one percent margin for the county executive seat.
With 63 percent of the votes, August L. Neff (R) defeated Godfried Holzhausen (D) to retain his seat as a North East Township supervisor.
All four candidates who were on the ballot for school director received their positions, with Nicholas C. Mobilia and Jane Blystone keeping their seats on the board with newcomers Corrie E. Boyd and Joseph Richard Cancilla.
Steven L. Gregory (D) won as mayor of North East Borough after running unopposed.
Also running unopposed were Heather Barnett (D) and Michael Satterthwaite (D) who will retain their Borough Council seats in the First and Second Ward.
In the Township, Penny Luke (D) will retain her position as tax collector and Vicki S. Munger (R) won the position of auditor. Both candidates were running unopposed.
Write-in votes had not been completely counted at the time of publication.
