Clemens “Clem” Grzegorzewski, age 81, of Wesleyville, passed away Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Erie Veterans Affairs Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Erie on July 7, 1928, son of the late Frank and Augusta Grzegorzewski.

Clem retired as a welder from General Electric Co. following many years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Clem was a member of American Legion Carl Neff Post #511 and the G.E. Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed fishing, going to the family camp, crossword puzzles, knife sharpening, and watching Jeopardy. He especially enjoyed his time spent with family.

Preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy and two brothers, Barnie and David.

Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Helen Cummings Grzegorzewski; one daughter, Beth Ann Hess (Gregory) of Harborcreek Twp.; three sons, Gary Grzegorzewski (Cindy) of Harborcreek Twp., Joseph Grzegorzewski (Annette) of Battle Creek, Mich. and Todd Grzegorzewski of Erie; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason, Joey, Erica (James), Alexandra, Emily and Michael; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Kobe; three sisters, Virginia, Florence and Mary Ann; two brothers, Chester and Raymond; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
