Julia M. Nieznany Cabaday, age 88, of Erie, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Hamot Medical Center. She was born on February 15, 1922 in Youngsville, Pa. daughter of the late Stanley and Kathryn Nieznany.

Julia was lifelong Erie resident and was a member of Holy Family R.C. Church.

Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Joseph J. Cabaday, she is survived by four daughters, Teri E. Kinner (John) of Venango Twp., Janice H. Stazer (Dennis, Sr.) of Erie, Christina M. Hillman of Spartansburg, S.C. and Marcia L. Rodrigues of Erie; three sons, James J. Cabaday and Gary T. Cabaday (Karen) all of Harborcreek and Michael F. Cabaday (Rosemary) of Tone, N.M.; one brother, Ben Nieznany of Erie; 23 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by three sisters, Sophia Soboski, Rose Lockwood and Helen Sparza and three brothers, Albert and Edward Nieznany, and John Matczak.

Arrangements were handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road. In memory of our mother, please do an act of kindness or give a word of encouragement to another.
