David John Pecar, age 47, of Harborcreek Twp., passed away at his residence on Thursday, Septmeber 1, 2011. He was born October 14, 1963 in Erie, a son ofhte late John and Esther Amoroso Pecar. He had resided in the Erie area most of his life.

David was a 1981 graduate of Iroquois High School, a graduate of Gannon University, and Regis University in Denver, Colo. He had been previously employed as Vice President of Operations at Brother’s Gourmet Coffee Co. in Denver.

An avid hunter and outdoorsman, David enjoyed nature and all of its beauty. A beloved husband, brother, favorite uncle and a treasured friend, he was true and genuine, yet had a wit that made everyone laugh. His endearing constant smile will be missed by many.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Pecar. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Stacie M. Kern Pecar; one brother, Christopher Pecar (Doreen) of Idalia, Colo.; his mother-in-law, Shirley Kern of Erie; several dear nieces and nephews including Brett Kern, Andrea and Sarah Iobst, Peyton, Justin and Ashley Pecar and Lynne Getz.

Arrangements were handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc. East, 2607 Buffalo Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2115 W. 8th St., Erie, PA 16505.
