Just two more weeks until the North East In Bloom Garden Tour.  Plan on spending part of Saturday, June 29, visiting several gardens in the North East area.

NEIB started several years ago after members returned from the Garden Walk Buffalo, where 65,000 visitors come and visit 400 urban gardens. The group would like to duplicate what is being done in Buffalo, only on a smaller scale.

The “blooming” ladies of NEIB are also looking for June’s Garden of the Month. They are looking for front yards that are well loved, weeded, trimmed, watered and pruned — as well as gardens that are eye catching with no artificial flowers.

The gardens included in the Garden Tour have been, in the past, Gardens of the Month.

The event on June 29 is free, but donations will be accepted for future NEIB projects.

Stay tuned for further directions and “Like” North East In Bloom on Facebook.
