First Presbyterian Church of North East had a special piece of artwork created by the worship and music committee, and it was revealed for Pentecost on Sunday, June 9.

The artwork is a three-dimensional perspective of the tongues of fire and doves, which represent the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles 50 days after Easter Sunday.

Another reason for this being an extra special Sunday was the confirmation of Madison Hartner and Carson Bender. Hartner just finished ninth grade at North East High School. She enjoyed her first year in high school while being a three-sport athlete participating in cross-country, basketball and track. Carson just graduated from Seneca High School and will be attending Pitt Bradford to study exercise medicine.

FPCNE is proud of these two confirmands and welcomed them into membership of the church on Pentecost Sunday.

Stop by this summer at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays (summer service hours) to hear an inspirational sermon, hear some wonderful special music and see the Pentecostal display.
