Pennsylvania State Police

 

. BLOOMFIELD - State police at Corry responded to a report of a disturbance in the parking lot of a local bar on Lake Road at 12:30 a.m. Nov. 3. Upon arrival, police determined a 29-year-old Waterford man struck a 21-year-old Springboro man, causing several lacerations to the victim's face. A harassment charge was filed against the 29-year-old through District Judge Amy Nicols' office. State police did not release the name of the accused.

 

. ROME - State police at Corry said a motor vehicle crash occurred as Glenn R. Ongley, 70, of Titusville, was making a left hand turn in a 2006 Dodge Dakota on Buells Corners Road at its intersection with Wright Road and failed to yield to a 2004 Ford Taurus operated by Tammy R. Chappel, 43, of Spartansburg, who was traveling in the opposite direction at 4:16 p.m. Oct. 30. Chappel and one of her passengers, Asher D. Herrick, 21, of Spartansburg, were transported to Titusville Area Hospital for treatment of injuries of unknown severity. Emergycare and Centerville Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene.

 

. COLUMBUS - State police at Corry said a Columbus man noticed his 2,000 gallon, stainless steel tank was missing from his property on Route 6. Sometime between Oct. 8 and Oct. 22, an unknown individual(s) removed the tank from the property without the victim's permission. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-663-2043.

 

. BLOOMFIELD - A Samsung Galaxy S7 in a case was found on a roadway in front of 24717 Inlet Dr. in Bloomfield Township at about 7 p.m. Oct. 31. Anyone with information regarding the phone is asked to contact state police at Corry at 814-663-2043.

 

. AMITY - A motor vehicle crash occurred as a 2019 Toyota Highlander was traveling south on Arbuckle Road, just north of Wattsburg Waterford Road, at 4:07 p.m. Oct. 30, when a dog ran onto the roadway and was struck by the vehicle. After impact, the driver pulled over to the shoulder of the southbound lane. State police at Corry said the vehicle sustained minor damage to its passenger side bumper area and was able to be safely driven from the scene. The driver did not suffer any injuries. The operator was not cited for any traffic violations so his name was not released. State police did not mention the condition of the dog.
