SPARTANSBURG — The grangemaster of Sparta Grange 110 has asked Spartansburg Borough Council to exonerate the grange from paying its monthly sewer bill.

Grangemaster Robert Hopkins, who also sits on Borough Council, said Grange members have “faithfully paid this fee from the time the sewer was constructed in the borough,” which was about 10 years ago.

But now, the Grange building on Main Street is in need of repairs and is not usable.
