CONCORD — There were no reported injuries when a vehicle caught fire while traveling east on Lovell Road, near its intersection with Cherry Hill Road, at 5:30 a.m. Dec. 20. State police at Corry said the engine compartment of a 2005 Chevrolet 2500 caught fire for unknown reasons, at which time Joel R. Warner, 41, of Corry, pulled over to the side of the road. The truck’s engine compartment continued to burn until extinguished by the fire department, police said. 

ROME — State police at Corry said an unknown person damaged the door handle of a 60-year-old Spartansburg woman’s truck, which was located in her driveway in the 20000 block of Hatchtown Road. The incident occurred sometime between 5 p.m. Dec. 18 and noon Dec. 19. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 663-2043.

UNION — A theft from a motor vehicle occurred in the 7800 block of Cross Road as a 21-year-old Union City suspect unlawfully entered a 32-year-old Union City man’s truck between the hours of 10 p.m. Dec. 20 and 6 a.m. Dec. 21, according to state police at Corry. Once inside the victim’s truck, the suspect stole money from a cup holder and ash tray of the vehicle. The estimated value of stolen property is $100. The name of the suspect was not released by state police. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 663-2043.

UNION CITY — State police at Corry said Russel Webster, 32, and Roger McClelland Jr., 27, both of Union City, were involved in a physical altercation with each other in the parking lot behind 42 N. Main St. at 3 a.m. Dec. 24. Both were cited with harassment and will answer the charge before District Judge Brenda Nichols of Corry.
