A 23-year-old homeless man was arrested Friday for breaking into the Corry-Lawrence Airport, 800 Spring St.
Corry City Police arrested Jordan M. Fay after they found him at 8 E. Airport Road. Fay was charged with burglary and criminal trespass.
Following arraignment, Fay was sent to Erie County Prison in lieu of $7,500 straight monetary bond.
Airport Manager Dick Sorenson told police that someone had broken into the locked airport building, helped himself to food and drinks, and used the computer to surf the Internet.
Patrolman Tony McIntyre reported he checked the Internet sites that were visited and found Fay had left his password and e-mail address to his MySpace page where it could be accessed.
McIntyre logged in and was directed to Fay’s MySpace page, which enabled him to identify Fay as the suspect.
Once McIntyre found Fay, he allegedly stated that he is homeless and slept at the airport building overnight, and that he had to eat.
