Corry State Police
• COLUMBUS — Someone removed four sap buckets and taps from the yard of a private residence on Blue Eye Road in Columbus Township. The theft occurred sometime between 3:30 p.m. March 16 and 2 p.m. March 17. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Corry at 663-2043.
• FREEHOLD — A Spring Creek Township man reported that an unknown person used his credit card without his permission sometime between March 8-10.
• UNION CITY — David Gool II, 36, of Union City, faces charges of driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Concord Road at 1:21 a.m. March 19. State police said Gool was determined to be driving under the influence and charges will be filed through District Judge Carol Southwick’s office in Union City.
• WAYNE — Christopher Hofmeister, 47, of Corry, was traveling north on Route 89 in a 1996 GMC Sierra 2500 at 6:15 a.m. March 19 when a deer entered the roadway. State police said Hofmeister swerved to the left and applied his brakes to avoid the deer. Hofmeister lost control of his vehicle and traveled off the left side of the road. The vehicle then rolled onto its roof and came to a rest. Hofmeister was wearing his seat belt and was not injured.
