A North East man was sent to Erie County Prison Saturday night after he allegedly lit a cigarette lighter within an inch of the filler tubes of a fuel tanker truck at a gasoline station in Corry.

Corry City Police charged Antonio Flavio Urbieta, 28, of 4269 Hartwig St., with risking a catastrophe, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

Corry City Police responded to Country Fair, 406 N. Center St., at 11:06 p.m. for a male being belligerent with a fuel tanker driver. Police officers met with the tanker driver, Robert Collins. He told police that a male wearing a gray sweater with a white shirt underneath it walked up to his fuel tank while Collins was in the tanker and lit the lighter, according to the affidavit of probable cause filed by police.
