SPRING CREEK - Pennsylvania State Police at Warren reported Saturday that an unknown person stole more than $5,000 from the basement of a Corry-area church in mid-December.

A representative of Spring Creek Community Church reported that an unknown person entered the basement of the Warren County church, located at 66 Blue Eye Road in Spring Creek Township, and stole $5,250 from a known location inside.

The theft of money occurred sometime between 8 a.m. on Dec. 10 and noon on Dec. 12.

The unknown suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.
