Car accident Friday

First responders were called to 443 E. Smith St., Corry, at 11:02 a.m. today for a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of East Washington Street, East Smith Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. Two people suffered injuries of unknown severity and were taken to Corry Memorial Hospital, an affiliate of LECOM Health, by Corry and Clymer ambulances. Two SUVs were involved in the collision and one crashed into a utility pole. Both vehicles sustained heavy front-end damage. No further information regarding accident details was available as of press time. Corry Fire Department and Corry City Police responded to the scene. Leroy's Towing was called to the scene to remove the vehicles and Penelec was requested to respond to evaluate the damage to the pole.
