Final hydrant testing

Corry firefighter Shawn Volz, left, gets ready to read a gauge on a fire hydrant on East South Street while city of Corry Water Department employee David Ives opens the hydrant. The Corry Fire Department and the city Water Department are teaming up this year for the first time to flow test and flush the hydrants. The last testing will be done today from 9 p.m. until midnight in the city’s Fourth Ward. Residents are advised not to use their water during that time. If the water looks brown, residents should let it run for a while before using it. Journal photo by Maryann Mook
