ACS Wants Women to Look Good, Feel Better

Cosmetologist Denise Nichols will offer professional hair and skin tips during the Corry American Cancer Society’s Look Good…Feel Better program Aug. 7 at Michele’s Restaurant, 13230 Route 6, Corry. Cancer patients are invited to the session and will receive a free Look makeup kit, shown above, valued at $150.

Cancer can rob a woman of her energy, appetite and strength — but it doesn’t have to take away her self confidence.

To help women of all ages who are battling cancer, the American Cancer Society in Corry is once again offering its Look Good…Feel Better program, which teaches beauty techniques to cancer patients in active treatment.

“This is a wonderful program and it’s free of charge,” said Senior Community Cancer Control Specialist Lori Trisket, who works in the Corry ACS office. “It helps teach women about skin care and other appearance-related side effects of cancer while they are going through treatment.”
