MAYVILLE, N.Y. — A Pennsylvania man was jailed in New York state on charges including burglary and grand larceny of a motor vehicle.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office said Daniel S. Craker, 48, of Bear Lake, was arraigned on charges that also include unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and criminal possession of stolen property. He was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.

The Sheriff's Office said Craker entered an unlocked home on Frissell Road in Jamestown, N.Y., early on Saturday, took the keys to a 2011 Honda Element off a counter and then stole the vehicle from the garage.

Authorities found him driving the stolen vehicle at 7:45 a.m. on North Main Street in Jamestown, according to the Sheriff's Office.

After further investigation, authorities determined that Craker had earlier taken a pickup truck with the keys in the ignition from a driveway on Weeks Road in Clymer, N.Y., and driven that vehicle until it ran out of fuel.
