• UNION CITY — A 27-year-old man faces charges of driving under the influence after state police at Corry observed him making a traffic violation in a 2010 Dodge Avenger at the intersection of Odel and Center streets at about 12:30 a.m. Dec. 25. Police determined he was under the influence of a controlled substance. He will answer the charges before District Judge Brenda Nichols of Corry. State police did not release the name of the driver.
• SPARTANSBURG — State police at Corry were contacted in reference to a white 2015 Chevrolet Silverado that was stolen from a business at 110 Mill St., Spartansburg. Police said it was last seen at 4:15 p.m. Dec. 27 and observed to be missing at 4:45 p.m. The vehicle was recovered at the Titusville Sheetz by the Titusville Police Department at about 10 p.m. Dec. 27. Police said charges are pending against a 28-year-old Spartansburg woman and a 26-year-old Corry man through District Judge Amy Nicols of Titusville. State police did not release the names of the accused.
• WAYNE — State police at Corry are investigating an incident where suspects wrote a bad check to Merkle Motors, 11970 Route 6, for the purchase of a vehicle valued at $12,500 on Nov. 22. After attempting to cash the check, it was returned for insufficient funds. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 663-2043. Police did not release the names of the suspects.
