• UNION —  A 2015 Kia Sportage, driven by Joseph M. Klick, 63, of Wattsburg, was backing out of a parking space at an establishment on Route 6 at about 6:08 p.m. Oct. 9. Klick backed into a pedestrian, a 2-year-old Union City boy, running over his foot and knocking him to the ground. Klick drove forward and stopped momentarily before leaving the scene. He was later located and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Charges were filed through District Judge Denise Buell’s office.
