MEADVILLE — The Corry Area School District received $61,269 from money collected by the Crawford County Tax Claim Bureau in delinquent real-estate taxes, penalties, interest and docket fees for from Jan. 1 through June 30, according to Crawford County Treasurer Frederic A. Wagner.

For the same time period, the Union City School District received $72,336.

The money was part of $3,786,446 collected and then distributed to Crawford County Commissioners, township supervisors, various boroughs, the cities of Meadville and Titusville, and other school districts in the county.

During the first six months of 2009, the treasurer, by investing various amounts of money from the general, liquid fuel and other county accounts collected interest income of $104,577.
