A U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots drive reached its culmination on Friday when all boxes from over 50 area businesses were collected by local annual organizer, David Corry Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram, 13255 Route 6. Representatives of local businesses and Marines gathered to load 60 boxes of toys into a military truck. Community Relations Manager Jeff Gilley said the goal this year was 50 boxes and the total this year not only surpassed that, but more than doubled last year's collected amount, which was 28 boxes. In addition, about $700 was collected in donations. Sales and Finance Manager Kay Knapp said the U.S. Marines that came to collect the toys revealed that the Corry event collected more toys in the Erie area than any other event.
