Karen and John Silvis of Corry haven’t missed the previous four Constitution Day Dinners hosted by Corry Area High School’s History Club. So it wasn’t unusual to see them at the high-school cafeteria Wednesday night, when the 84 members of the History Club hosted the fifth Constitution Day Dinner.

Several vendors were there, handing out information, and Karen Silvis attended the event as a representative of the American Cancer Society. But she and her husband also enjoyed the spaghetti dinner, which is a fundraiser for the History Club.

Karen Silvis also said she enjoyed seeing the students.

“I think the event was excellent,” Karen Silvis said. “The kids were so well-mannered and so nicely dressed, they actually looked like nice young men and women.”
