UNION CITY — When Thelma Morgan was appointed to the Union City Municipal Authority about two years ago, the job description for the position of authority manager included only a few paragraphs.

The authority Wednesday approved an updated job description for the manager’s position that is five pages long.

Now the board is looking to hire a manager who meets those more-detailed qualifications.

The authority plans to advertise for the position soon. Morgan said ads would be placed locally, as well as in trade journals and magazines.

For the time being, the current manager, Marsha Tomcho, will remain in that position until a new manager is hired.
