More than 20 area fire companies battled a fire Wednesday that ripped through the historic Towne Square Building at 110 W. Spring St. in downtown Titusville. The fire first broke Tuesday night and rekindled Wednesday afternoon. The cause of the fire has not been determined, but initial reports indicate the building could be declared a total loss. No injuries were reported. The building housed the Blue Canoe Brewery, which is operated by Bill Zimmer and Jeremy Potocki, both of Corry. Corry Fire Department was dispatched to Titusville at about 4 p.m., and firefighters used the aerial ladder truck to help put out the fire and keep it from spreading to other buildings. Corry firefighters were back in service at 11 p.m.
