Women of all ages are being invited to get ready for spring during an afternoon shopping event that will bring almost 20 vendors into one Corry location.
A first-ever Ladies Spring Fling is being planned for Sunday, March 15, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Michele's Restaurant, 13230 Route 6, Corry. Admission is free.
"I was brainstorming ways to get ladies together while also generating some business for local vendors," said Brenda Catalfu, organizer of the Ladies Spring Fling. "What better way than to come shop, have a glass of wine and relax a little bit."
Catalfu, who works at Matt Barczyk Allstate Insurance Agency in Erie, is also an independent sales consultant for Tastefully Simple, a home tasting company that features easy to prepare food and gifts. The winter months can typically be slow for her business, so Catalfu, along with a variety of other vendors, will come together during the Ladies Spring Fling to promote each other.
"We are going to have a little bit of everything," Catalfu said.
Vendors selling everything from jewelry to make up to candles to Tupperware will be lined up around Michele's Restaurant. Vendors that have confirmed their attendance will be representing Tastefully Simple, Jamberry, Young Living Essen Oils, 31, Origami Owl, Pampered Chef, Younique, Tupperware, Scentsy, Beauticontrol, Paparazzi Jewelry, handmade purses, Our Own Candle Company, Fun Expressions by Michele, RunRev, Jewelscents, homemade scarves, Premier Designs and Mary Kay.
One additional event will be a gift auction with proceeds benefiting the YMCA Tumbling Tigers.
Shoppers may come and go as they please. Wine and other beverages will be for sale. There will also be many product demonstrations.
Due to space, Catalfu will not be booking any additional vendors. However, she is considering making this an annual event.
"I'm hoping for a good turnout," said Catalfu, who is marred to John Paul Catalfu. "If it goes really good then we will do it again next year."
