Communities that want a piece of the $7.2 billion pie for broadband access may now apply.

U.S. Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.) has announced an open application period from July 14 through Aug. 14 for communities to apply for funding to expand broadband and receive high-speed Internet service.

“These grants and loans help individuals in communities with limited Internet capabilities access the information may of us take for granted,” Casey said. “I encourage communities from all over Pennsylvania to apply for this very important funding.”
