Bagging a bundle

Journal photo by Stephen Sears

The Corry Salvation Army is doing its part to keep children and senior citizens warm this winter. As part of Project Bundle Up, a joint effort between the Salvation Army and WTAE-TV of Pittsburgh, the Salvation Army distributed vouchers for qualifying families to purchase $50 in winter outerwear from Walmart. On Tuesday, people gathered at the Corry store to buy their winter clothing, which included coats, hats, boots, scarves and gloves. Helping bag the items are Lucas Jones, Walmart’s department manager for jewelry and shoes; and Marti Lee, a Salvation Army volunteer.
